So, hey kids! I'm now at my home place! We have a lovely decorated tree (which Megan and I took care of on Christmas Eve), and Christmas at Grandma's yesterday was all the possible fun! I have received Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 3, Law & Order: Criminal Intent Season 1, some candies, and some monies! I will be receiving more gifts as the time passes...today I get to retrieve my GPS from Circuit City (thank the JESUS...now hopefully I will be able to know where I'm going! Sort of) and soon I will get back the fur coat I acquired from the antique store whose lining was all of the torn and which my stepdad took to be repaired for me! Isn't that sweet?
Other fun things have happened over break as well...I went to Boston and my car got towed and ransomed involving a trip to a police station that was in a small trailer, I saw the Jules MacDougall, I came back and went to lunch with the CCYM ladies, I made a gingerbread house at Liz's house that has dinosaurs killing each other on it, and I had an awesome Christmas so far!
So, Christmas presents are weird, right? Like, people getting you random stuff you need/want, just to see a reaction. This year is the first year I'm counting myself as an adult at Christmas, because I think I actually got appropriate, semi-helpful gifts for all the peoples. WOO! Go me! Also the gifts I've received were the coolz!
To close, I think I'll include this conversation we had while we were cleaning up at grandma's:
Aunt Dee (to me): Will you guys take these black olives home?
Me: Well I know I won't eat them!
Grandma: You don't like black olives?
Me: Nope.
Grandma: What kind of an Italian ARE you?
Me: I bleed garlic grandma, what do you want?
Grandma: Well do you like green olives?
Me: Yes grandma, me and the martini olives get along just fine.
Grandma: Heather!
Me: What? I'm not gonna lie to ya!
Grandma: *chortle*
