Living in a city...

...is different than I thought it would be! In fact, much easier than I thought it would be. In a city, since there are so damn many people around, it's easier to run around on your own and do your own thing. At home, if you're not with people, life sucks 'cause there's nothing to do. In a city, if you're rollin' solo, it's freeing. You know you'll have a place to go home to. I think it helps to have Nora here, because even though our social/school/work lives don't intersect often (and indeed, this is a good thing because otherwise we'd wear each other out) I know that there is at least one person in the city I know and care about.

As for a job, I went to the placey place yesterday and spoke with Evan (who indeed is nothing like the Evans I know and looked more like Mr. Boston a la VH1's "I Love New York"), who told me about the job, made me read a potential thing I'd have to say to someone when I called them, and then said "So, why should we hire you?" I'd rehearsed this question in my brainy brain, and told him that I'm a performer and can make people feel things, and he responded "Great! Come back for a second interview tomorrow!" So today, I will go and have a second interview, and hopefully I will be able to attain gainful employment. Wheee!!!!

Also, cannot wait until Julia gets back from Tazmania. Because what do people DO in Tazmania anyway? Only be separated from my life.

Am also happied because received an email from Sara and Britt today, reminiscing good times in Admissions last summer. While some of the things from that experience drove me crazy, those girls will always have a special place in my heart, because whatever you say about the four of us (me, Sara, Britt, JP), we were all strong personalities and all characters. I wish someone had done a reality TV series about us. It would've gotten a lot of good press for Hamtech and we would have made all the monies!

Welp, cleaned the pantry with Nora today and now must go return bottles for the cash and get ready for second interview. Wheeeee!!!

Can you message me or something and let me know who it is? Because I seriously think my boss might be him/his twin.
