A site to facilitate donations to indebted college students.
Here's the idea: want to do something nice for the country? Would you rather help a person than donate to your alma mater? Would you rather help a child you've known from birth than a child in some third-world country? Then feast your eyes on...reducemycollegedebt.org!
It's like Facebook, with some tweaks, to allow people surfing the internet with money to spend to do it in a positive way...improving your life, and reducing your student loans! You get a profile, with your picture and information about you. You can sign up for free, but it requires you to post exactly how much money you have in debt from college, and approximately how much you have in your bank accounts. Make yourself look more responsible by posting your monthly budget or listing how many jobs you're working to get yourself out of debt! Every profile page has a donation button at the top linking to your PayPal account. Terms of Service state that all monies received must be included in loan payments, with requirements for documentation proving you've used the money on your loans.
Whaddaya think, folks? A lot of you make computer things happen...who can make this happen? Or if it already exists, let me know!
Otherwise, this should totally happen. I'd sure sign up!
