So you know when crazy things happen in your real life that are crazy and you want to blog about them because you want to talk about them but you know you shouldn't so you don't because it's the respectful thing to do? That was my last week. Many apologies for the absence of posts, folks!
So a couple of exciting things have happened. First of all I scored the code to the Hamilton dungeon practice rooms downstairs so I can totally start going down there after work on nights I'm not teaching and then I can have practice time that is practice time and not practice time that is spent worrying about how bizarre I sound trying to say the alphabet without moving my under-tongue muscle. Singers are WEIRD.
In other news I went to go see Rob and Lauralyn Kolb's recital last night, which was a blast. The Schumann duets made me wish I was friends with tenors a little bit, and their Offenbach Orpheus and Eurydice fly duet was both hilarious and adorable. MAN I miss being a musician all day!
Pretty much I've been taking this past week to be mopey and not a person, and now I'm settling up and getting back on track. Today I'm working on June the Homemaker editing/filming and doing laundry and making my room a place for humans to live and getting my eyebrows waxed and talking to Efi later and reinstituting regular gym time and calorie counting because oh my God.
I WILL make my life work. At a time. Hopefully that time is now!
Also it totally sounds like there's a chicken outside my window right now, but I think it's actually a squirrel because there aren't any chickens? WHAT IS GOING ON
